Over a decade of collaboration
Timeworks was first introduced for Senaatti-kiinteistöt’s own use in 2015. Its use has expanded to shared meeting centres and properties across Finland. The system now has around 30,000 users in central government.
Senaatti’s 2019 article describes the early collaboration and the development of bookings for shared spaces.

Room bookings through Senaatti’s e-service
The room booking service known as Senaattila is now part of Senaatti’s e-service. Timeworks provides the booking solution that brings together room bookings, meeting catering and visitor information.
A complete meeting solution
In one booking, users can book a room, register guests with reception and order meeting catering from the property’s restaurant service. Room and overview displays show current booking information.
Easier booking and a smoother visitor experience
Sharing spaces makes their use more efficient. Booking rooms and catering in the same system makes the user’s work easier. Reception has information on incoming guests, the duration of their visit and their host.
Shared work environments are growing
The Pasila government agency building illustrates the scale of shared government work environments. According to Senaatti, it is Finland’s largest shared central government work environment, expected to accommodate around 5,200 people by the end of 2026.
